Julianne has reportedly spent thousands materials and décor in her home
AS middle-aged singletons, Julianne Hough and Kim Kardashian might have to get used to spending time alone in their lavish Hollywood homes.
But an interior designer claims that Hough’s home in particular shows how much she loves being single at 36.

Julianne has shared photos and videos on Instagram inside her home as she hosted DWTS Season 32 in Los Angeles.
A clip shared in November showed Julianne gliding toward French windows in her living room and throwing them open, before jumping on her bed in glee.
“Your home is gorgeous!!!!” one fan wrote in reaction to her posts.
“Beautiful home. She works hard and deserves it,” said another.
Interior designer Michele Pelafas said Julianne’s posts showed her life alone but highlighted the fact that her single life is supported.
Julianne bought her 3,000-foot Hollywood Hills home for $2 million over a decade ago.
Her light-filled three-bedroom, four-bathroom pad includes a workout room and stunning views of the hills.
It is strewn with plenty of objects including artwork, cushions, and books.
In an exclusive interview, Pelafas told The U.S. Sun: “Julianne Hough is enjoying her single life.
“She has a focus on being her best self.
“It is all about work-personal life balance and her wellbeing.
“Julianne has an emotional connection to her home which is a place of comfort and relief.
“From the vintage rug to the library ladder in the kitchen, Julianne has an emotional connection to each item.
“It is no surprise she seems quite alone in the images of her home.
“The design was about curating an environment to support her inner being.”
Julianne is one of a long line of celebrities, like Kim, 43, who have shared images of their homes online.
As previously reported by The U.S. Sun, Kim’s minimalist décor inside her Hidden Hills mansion revealed a need for orderliness.

Pelafas said: “Kim Kardashian’s home is the complete opposite of Julianne’s.
“Julianne’s home is all about objects.
“Kim’s home is about the absence of objects which is true minimalism.
“Both homes, however, are a personal sanctuary for their busy public lives.
“Interestingly both Kim and Julianne resonate with soft furniture, warm whites, and transparency to nature.
“They have grounding textures to create beautiful moments.
“For Kim, there are no personal distractions.
“She too aims to feel relaxed but for Julianne, it is all about the personal details.”

As well as their contrast in design styles, Julianne’s home life is different from Kim’s.
The Hulu star shares her mansion with her kids, housekeepers, and security guards. Julianne lives with Sunny, her dog.
After separating from her husband Brooks Laich in 2021, Julianne stayed single.
Her career has gone from strength to strength.
Since joining DWTS in 2007, she moved to the judging panel.
This season Julianne replaced Tyra Banks, 49, as a host alongside Alfonso Ribeiro, 51.

Pelafas added: “Julianne is always on the go and travels a lot.
“Her home is a respite for her busy life.
“She calls it a safe, special place where she feels like her true self.
“It is clear that wellness also seems to be important to Julianne.”
“I love making sure my environment is like, candles lit or incense burning,” she told Women’s Health in 2022.
“Just to create the experience and get my mindset in a calming way, so I can self-regulate before I get crazy again with work stuff.”
Julianne looks to have a livable space to help her feel grounded and happy at the same time, said Michele Pelafas Credit: Instagram/juleshough
Pelafas claimed Julianne seemed to like feeling settled and relaxed.
“She looks to have a liveable space to help her feel grounded and happy at the same time,” she said.
“Julianne lights up every time she talks about her home.
“I think the end goal for her home design was to create a timeless, relaxing design.
“She wanted to have a strong foundation for her personal living space.”

Julianne worked with architect Steve Wunderlich and interior designer Jake Arnold on her dream home.
Pelafas suggested it looked like a close collaboration.
“They were all intimately involved in curating every detail in this home design,” she said.
“It is clear that Julianne had strong input.
“You can see she feels fortunate to call her renovated place home.
“Some celebrities may relinquish input on the design of a home.
“I would call Julianne’s home French Country with worldly influences and a hint of coastal.

“It is a timeless space that is put together well and very liveable and is not pretentious.
“That does not mean it did not cost much to procure the furniture and remodel the home.
“Project costs and design fees can range depending upon the scope.
“Most designers range from $100 to $500 per hour depending upon experience.
“I would expect that Julianne spent a lot of dollars on time, resources, furniture, materials, lighting, and décor.
“But she spent even more money to make it feel homey.”
Julianne’s home may be lacking in color, but it is transformed by authentic materials and finishes, according to an expert Credit: Instagram/juleshough
Michelle noticed Julianne’s home contains plenty of personal touches with deeper meaning. She said each has significance.
“There may be a connection to her travels and experiences and this is where she finds her happiness and joy, ” she said.
“Most of the home is neutral in tone.
“Julianne insisted on the right color of blue-green in the heart of the home, which is the kitchen.
“This muted blue/green color on the cabinets is finished to feel relaxed and inviting.
“The black window frames and doors highlight the garden views, which brings color into the home.
“What may be lacking in color is transformed by the authentic materials and finishes.
“From the raw and reclaimed woods to the soft linen fabrics and accent pillows with pops of color, there is plenty of interest in the space.
“Julianne lights up every time she speaks about her home.
“At the same time, she enjoys her quiet time, so this style resonates with her.
“I can see she is prioritizing her sense of self and is finding peace and harmony.
“Her home is purposeful, tasteful, and charming, supporting and honoring her truest self.”
